My practice is an exploration of gender and sexuality as a cultural construct and the strange personas we create in order to navigate and make sense of our identities. I stage and orchestrate photoshoots of myself with a variation of masks and other objects in order to activate them and explore their narratives as an extension of the female body. I primarily have used the photographs I create in combination with painting to facilitate these ideas, but lately I have been investigating the way in which my process has a relationship with performance, installation, and sculpture.
